ISIS, the new mobile payments venture formed by AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, has announced the recruitment of U.S. merchants, according to Digital Transaction News.
ISIS’s head of sales Jim Stapleton told DTN that an unspecified number of merchants are now officially on board with the program, but declined to reveal any names as of yet.
According to DTN, ISIS is currently looking to land merchants dealing in quick transaction businesses, such as transit, fast food, coffee shops, grocery stores, parking providers and more.
Discover and Barclaycard are already on board to process and manage ISIS accounts, but Stapleton says the company is open to working with all credit issuers, as well as other mobile carriers.
According to Stapleton, ISIS is also looking to add support for private-label retail cards and gift cards.
