Logica Holdings, a developer of biometric secured social networking sites, has named Bill O’Dowd as new CEO and chairman while previous CEO Pino Baldassarre will move into the role of president and managing director. This news follows the recent acquisition of Dolphin Media, where O’Dowd was formerly the CEO, by Logica.
The acquisition of Dolphin, which holds the rights to popular pre-teen shows such as Zoey 101 and Ned’s Declassified, is thought to lead to more safe social networking sites based on these shows like Logica’s Anne’s Diary, based around Anne of Green Gables.
With the fingerprint authentication required for entry into the sites, O’Dowd and Baldassarre are both eager to create new sites for children safe from Internet predators.
