Lockheed Martin and Fixmo Inc. have teamed up to create secure gesture authentication for consumer mobile devices.
The companies integrated Fixmo’s SafeZone&trade technology with Lockheed’s Mandrake SG&trade technology to create the service. SafeZone&trade works on both iOS and Android devices to help IT departments keep corporate e-mail, browsing, documents and applications encrypted and contained, even in a BYOD environment. Users can then tap into the Lockheed technology to authenticate into the Fixmo application using a user-defined gesture.
The integrated technology allows device users to keep business and personal areas of the device separate, while maintaining the user’s identity.
The companies will display this product at the RSA conference in San Francisco on February 25 to March 1.
