Lenovo Mobile, a China-based technology developer, has recently released their P960 mobile phone which incorporates fingerprint biometrics provided by mobile device developer Atrua Technologies.
Lenovo chose the fingerprint technology from Atrua as it has been designed for mobile phones and uses much less power to perform its functions unlike most other fingerprint sensors which are adapted from technology designed for PCs. Additionally, Atrua’s technology uses less memory, processor power and physical space than its competitors.
Lenovo hopes the new biometric security features will ease the minds of customers who are keeping sensitive data on their mobile phones including the new feature of VIP recordings which automatically records conversations with selected contacts.
