Software security products provider Keylok
has upgraded its Fortress dongle to contain secure “Code Porting” technology on the device’s smart card.
With the updated dongle, developers can now port up to 10,000 lines of executable code to be safely locked in the device, where it will execute and return results to the application running on the computer.
Because the critical piece of code resides in the smart card portion of the device, software cannot be copied and run on another computer, according to Keylok.
The Keylok Fortress also allows segregate key pieces of an application to run on a separate, secure smart card computing environment.
