Kana Hotel Group, a full service hotel development and management company based in Knoxville, Tenn., is partnering with Kaba ILCO to upgrade its locks and professional services at more than 30 premium branded hotels across nine states.
Kana is upgrading its magnetic stripe locks to the new ILCO 790 RFID units, utilizing the latest in access control technology to provide hotel guests with a contactless room access experience. The 790 RFID locks accommodate with various finish and lever options, all designed to fit the hotel’s unique design and décor of each guest room, common area, and back-of-the-house.
Some 790 RFID locks are easy for guests to use and reliable, which improves customer satisfaction. RFID key cards also mean no de-magnetization, eliminating the need for guests to return to the front desk to re-code their key; they cannot be erased by cell phones or other magnetic objects guests carry.
The low maintenance system operates using a completely contactless reader, which can easily replace existing mechanical or electronic door locks. Batteries last up to 3 years, with a low battery indicator alert for staff, and lock programming and audit are not erased during battery replacement.
Kana’s hotel portfolio includes Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Springhill Suites by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Express.
