Jolly Technology’s latest releases of its ID Flow and Lobby Track software support MIFARE encoding, proximity card reading and ultraviolet layer printing with HID Global’s Fargo printers.
The Jolly Encoder supports reading and writing MIFARE compatible cards using an HID printer equipped with a MIFARE compatible reader such as HID’s OMNIKEY devices. Other encoding technologies can be used with the external encoding feature.
The UV printing technology allows for the printing of static text and images and variable text and images from a database to be printed as an independent layer in the card design. UV printing can only be seen under ultraviolet light.
“Our European dealers will be happy to see the MIFARE integration with OMNIKEY readers. Both are favorites in that market,” said Kurt Bell, Jolly’s vice president of sales and marketing.
“Our U.S. market has been requesting the UV printing integration with HID Global’s ID card printers. Our access control market has been looking for the proximity card write-back feature as part of the Lobby Track/access control system integrations we do,” said Bell.
The integration creates a process for: enrolling a visitor; printing on and reading an access card; and writing all the information back to both the visitor management system and access control system simultaneously.
