TagMaster and Intellisoft Parking recently partnered to provide a hands-free automatic vehicle identification system at Peru’s Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima.
The joint solution consists of LR6 long-range RFID readers and read/write RFID ScriptTags, which will aid in accurately identifying vehicles as they enter and exit secure aircraft areas.
At JCIA, airport catering concessionaires are billed for each vehicles runway access based on the duration of stay in the aircraft area. The existing process required labor-intensive visual observation and hand calculation of each vehicles entry and exit. This lead to the potential for identification errors and long billing cycles while calculations were reviewed and verified.
The new system ensures accurate vehicle identification and length-of-stay reporting to eliminate billing disputes. In addition, the Intellisoft solution integrated with Federal APDs ScanNet Management Software and SAP billing database to create a fully automated billing solution resulting in increased billing accuracy.
