International Vending Management Commits to a Long-Term Contract With USA Technologies
WAYNE, Pa., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ –USA Technologies (OTC Bulletin Board: USTT), the leader in wireless, cashless
payment and networking systems, today announced that International Vending
Management (IVM), an industry-leading professional vending management firm
managing over 29,000 vending machines, will integrate USA Technologies’ secure
access and audit management system into their clients’ vending machines across
the country.
IVM can guarantee secure access because the system is designed to
recognize and authorize a vend using the current employee identification
procedures, whether they be an employee magstripe badge, smart cards or a
Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Utilizing Internet technology and proprietary software, USA Technologies’
services will enable IVM to remotely assess inventory levels of each networked
vending machine, in real-time via the Internet. USA technologies’ services
will enhance IVM’s current offering of turnkey and complete managed-care
programs by enabling IVM to guarantee that their clients’ vending machines are
always appropriately stocked and that only authorized personnel are able to
vend products.
“USA Technologies’ service enhances our PPE (Personal Protection
Equipment) vending equipment and enables us to securely offer our customer the
convenience of having critical safety items on hand when and where they are
needed. Using the USA Technologies’ audit system, we will be able to offer
turnkey services that include monitoring capabilities, usage tracking and
custom reporting,” explained Michael Pitts, President of IVM. “The benefits
and savings we can offer our clients through the USA system are tremendous.”
While providing plant and warehouse managers with access to online reports
indicating who is vending safety equipment, what they are vending, and how
often, the auditing capabilities of the USA Technologies’ system will help IVM
ensure that inventory is accurately tracked and that necessary items are never
out of stock.
“We are delighted that IVM has identified our technology and services as a
valuable asset to their clients and their clients’ customer base,” says
Michael Lawlor, Vice President of Sales for USA Technologies. “Their desire to
create additional cost-saving opportunities for their clients, paired with the
best-possible service, is underlined by their decision to include our advanced
system in their product offering. IVM continues to strengthen its leadership
in vending management by harnessing the latest in technology to improve
operating efficiencies and expand services.”
“With our accelerated growth, USA Technologies is quickly expanding its
customer base. We are now providing services for hundreds of customers in
thousands of locations in the US and Canada. Some of these include Kodak,
