Intelligent Instruments, a developer of data collection, acquisition and control technology, has announced it has incorporated biometric authentication hardware and software with Time Gathering System’s TGS/400 time management solution.

The new time management solution uses fingerprint scanners from biometric technology developer SecuGen to authenticate users’ identities and allow them to clock in or out.

Beyond its basic operational capabilities, Intelligent Instruments is also touting the system’s near-unlimited user capacity, its use of biometric minutiae to eliminate fraud from leaked data and storage of complete audit trails to assist with compliance.

Additionally, the system has an optional toolkit that allows for expansion of the system to secure network logons and various other applications via the same system and biometric credentials.
