Indian government implements biometric time and attendance tracker

Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram has implemented a biometric time and attendance solution in his ministry to better control and monitor the hours his employees are working, according to a Business Standard article.
While the Minister acknowledged that he is not against flex time, he wants to be sure that if employees are arriving late, they are also staying late to make up for lost time. Chidambaram has also noted that he is expecting feedback following the first couple of weeks of operation from the Central Industrial Security Force of India on how well the system is functioning.
