Bangalore-based Orizin Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has launched what it claims to be the smallest active RFID tag on the market. According the company, the tags have already been successfully deployed by an Indian telecom company to manage internal assets. Orizin’s new tag measures 26 x 23 x 7.3mm, and offers a read range of 20 meters.
“The optimum size, range and cost [of the tag] are the result of more than 18 months of R&D effort which has gone into development of our active RFID tags and readers,” says Suresh Rao, chief technology officer of Orizin.
