IER has released a new RFID and NFC-enabled reader designed to simplify the airline check-in process.
The IER 602 features a 13.56Mhz reader that lets passengers to check-in, credit frequent flyer miles and perform passenger identification by simply waving their NFC phone or contactless card.
According to IER, the device can be deployed at all passenger touch points, including the ticket counter, security checkpoint, frequent flyer clubs, service desks or boarding gates.
The IER 602 also features a large active LCD display that guides passengers through the check-in process, allowing them to scan their own bar codes, contactless cards or NFC mobile devices.
