Identive is providing contactless entry and payment solutions at hospitality venues during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Identive’s Polyright visitor management solution will enhance security for up to 10,000 visitors to the Olympic Club, located next to the stadium in the Olympic Park.
The solution includes the issuance of personalized gold, silver or bronze contactless ID badges for International Olympic Committee (IOC) members, VIPs, invited guests and staff. The badges grant secure entry to the Club and are being deployed in conjunction with Identive’s Polyright identity management system, which includes gate control, monitoring capabilities and support services.
In cooperation with Dutch bank Rabobank, Identive is also providing multi-use cashless payment cards for more than 100,000 visitors at Heineken House hospitality events held at the Alexandra Palace.
The contactless cards utilize Identive’s tomPAY NFC tag technology, which enables them to be used both as conventional cashless payment cards and as NFC payment stickers for mobile phones.
The cards also are compatible with the company’s Multicard Cashless Betalen mobile payment solution, which is widely deployed in the Netherlands. Dutch Olympic visitors who obtain an Identive cashless payment card will be able to peel off the NFC tag, affix it to their mobile devices and download Cashless Betalen apps to enroll on their return home.
