HSBC to issue Visa contactless cards in Middle East

British banking group HSBC and Visa are launching a contactless debit card in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan early next year. Customers will be able to use Visa payWave for low value purchases. The cards will also support loyalty programs, says Visa.
HSBC says it expects to issue more than a million Visa debit cards in the region over the next five years. Read more here.
