HID Global has announced it will showcase its veriCLASS embedded contactless reader platform for cashless payment and ticketing, along with its electric vehicle charging station and contactless card printing solutions, at UITP 2011 Mobility and City Transport Exhibition in Dubai.
Based on adaptable contactless reader technology, HID Global’s veriCLASS supports open-loop debit/credit schemes and closed-loop payment schemes on the same platform. The veriCLASS family includes the 3300 reader core, designed for space-constrained applications, and the 3500 reader board for terminal applications. The veriCLASS Developer Tool Kit includes documentation, a developer board and antennas, along with a 3300 reader core and board, drivers, test credentials and sample code.
HID Global’s automatic fare solutions are integrated into several different products in Dubai’s transit network, which spans buses, marine transport and on-street parking. Partner products on display will include Pay‘n Display terminals for on-street parking and Psion’s handheld payment terminals.
In addition to its entire line of technology cards and contactless readers, HID will also display its FARGO DTC4500 contactless card printer. The DTC4500 allows transit operators to add field-upgradeable modules such as dual-sided printing, technology card encoding and single- or dual-sided simultaneous lamination. HID’s electric vehicle charging station featuring Multi-ISO contactless payment technology rounds out the exhibit.
