With looming legislation and constantly changing rules, logical access control in the health care market is at a standstill, according to David Stallsmith, director of product marketing for ColorID. Health care providers are leery of investing and then in six months or a year having to start over because their system does not meet new regulations.
“One thing that has been a real area of interest for both suppliers and the people within the health care facility has been how they’re going to login to the system,” comments Stallsmith. “Especially because they may have several different applications that they are going to use when they are working with a patient in a room or in a clinical setting.”
