GoldKey Security Corporation’s authentication USB Smart Card has passed the Microsoft Windows 7 Logo Testing, making it ready to use on all Windows 7 systems.
With this compatibility now available, the GoldKey solution can provide users with an added security factor to both Windows 7 BitLocker Drive Encryption and Windows 7 user account log-in. Once configured, the Smart Card can provide security features for log in and e-signatures.
The USB Smart Card does not require any additional installation of software, drivers, or middleware. Additionally its durability allows for it to operate without an internal battery for power and features a water-tight design to eliminate possible damage to the device.
GoldKey’s product utilizes the PIV (Personal Identity Verification) specification developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and may be incorporated with PKI security applications including Active Directory and VPN authentication.
