Adler Modemärkte AG, a German textile retailer, is applying RFID technology to improve stock availability and to boost sales throughout its entire retail network.
The roll out follows Adler’s long-term RFID pilot project encompassing most recently seven stores across two countries.
The wireless RFID tags will integrate into Adler’s stock management system, allowing the company to monitor the inventories of its new old stock merchandise, Adler’s main sales driver, and maintain an ongoing stock inventory.
Following the 2012 pilot, the company’s RFID steering committee plans to launch the wireless technology across its entire sales network to improve efficiency and to generate additional sales potential.
