HJP Consulting has completed the German BSI certification process of the Extended Access Control (EAC) e-passport inspection system “Regula series 7004,” manufactured by Regula Baltija Ltd., based in Latvia. The Regula inspection system is an EAC inspection system to be certified according to the test standard BSI-TR 3105 part 5.1 “Test plan for ICAO compliant Inspection Systems with EAC 1.11.”
HJP Consulting acted as the test laboratory for testing e-passports and inspection systems officially accredited by German BSI.
As a prime contractor, HJP Consulting was responsible for managing the test and certification processes on behalf of Regula. HJP Consulting test engineers assisted Regula during the process through intensive pre-testing in HJP’s own laboratories using the GlobalTester Prove IS testing tool. The GT Prove IS is based on the HJP Open Source test platform GT TestManager.
HJP Consulting has been working with the BSI to develop the e-passport test standards since 2004. This expertise is the basis for various consultancy engagements with governments and industry worldwide, assisting them with the planning, procurement and approval of modern e-passport, e-ID card and border control systems.
