SNCF, France’s national state-owned railway company, has chosen XIRING to provide its mobile teams with contactless card terminals as part of a greater initiative to develop e-ticketing in the Ile-de-France region.
SNCF has ordered 1,400 of XIRING’ Xi-Check handheld terminals, allowing ticket agents to check and validate contact and contactless travel cards on the fly.
According to XIRING, the Xi-Check recently received the RCTIF V4 certification issued by the Ile-de-France Transport Union, and is compatible with Passe Navigo, Imagine’R and other contactless travel cards.
