Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS), provider of pallet rental service with embedded RFID tags, announced that Carlos Gutierrez, former Chairman and CEO of the Kellogg Company and former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, has joined the company’s board of directors.
The embedded RFID tags enable shippers and receivers to track and trace their shipments throughout the supply chain in real time.
iGPS employs a plastic substitute to the conventional wood and metal made pallets, making them 30% lighter. Plastic means no more sharp nails or splinters to cause workplace injuries. They are also impervious to liquids which may cause rotting or contamination of goods.
iGPS offers commercially available plastic pallets that are UL 2335 certified (file no. R25482) and FM Approvals 4996.
