“By bundling all of the components a company needs to get started with RFID-enabled asset tracking, we’re aiming to help them make an effortless move from deliberation to action.”
So says Fluensee’s CEO Tim Harvie, speaking from the RFID World 2007 show in Dallas on his company’s latest release: AssetTrack Express.
The easy-does-it RFID product (which begs the question: will the marketing campaign help the technology catch on?) is being shown at Booth 1111, for all you folks down in Texas today.
Fluensee Launches AssetTrack Express – a New RFID Starter Kit for Automated Asset Tracking
A Quick and Easy Path to RFID-enabled Asset Tracking for Less Than $10,000
DALLAS, RFID World (Booth 1111), March 27 /PRNewswire/ – RFID-enabled asset management and supply chain solution provider Fluensee Inc. today debuted AssetTrack Express(TM), a new solution to help companies quickly and easily begin using asset tracking technology and RFID. AssetTrack Express is a true business solution that breaks cost barriers with starting price of less than $10,000 for the standard kit. AssetTrack Express is being showcased at RFID World this week in booth 1111.
AssetTrack Express is an out-of-the-box RFID starter kit to manage assets that most companies can install and have up and running within a day. It includes everything necessary for companies to deploy RFID technology to automatically track and manage nearly any type of valuable asset. With this kit, companies can start exploiting RFID’s many uses, such as monitoring, planning and tracking asset movements, and providing analytical reports that help improve asset utilization.
The standard AssetTrack Express kit is comprised of Fluensee’s sophisticated asset tracking software, a rugged handheld RFID reader, up to 250 assorted passive RFID tags, a quick set-up guide, as well as support services. For an additional cost, kit contents can be modified – to include stationary readers or alternative tag technologies, for example – based on the user’s specific needs.
“I’d been recently considering how RFID could make our lives easier, so I was delighted to discover AssetTrack Express and begin working with Fluensee to determine the best deployment for our situation,” said Mark Inglis, director of technology for the Denver School of Science and Technology. “Our aim is to institute a true asset management solution by using AssetTrack Express to automate many processes we’re still doing manually, such as tracking students’ roving laptops and keeping tabs on warranty dates. I expect a host of cost and labor-saving benefits from Fluensee’s RFID starter kit.”
Fluensee’s AssetTrack Express is all-inclusive, self-installing and is easy to configure to a company’s unique assets. AssetTrack Express does not require businesses to install additional computing infrastructure and it works alongside existing barcode or other automatic identification technologies.
“By bundling all of the components a company needs to get started with RFID-enabled asset tracking, we’re aiming to help them make an effortless move from deliberation to action,” said Tim Harvie, CEO of Fluensee. “Although cost-effective and straightforward, AssetTrack Express is also a very powerful and sophisticated solution that will deliver evident ROI within weeks.”
