First Data introduces contactless payment sticker

Delegates to the Democratic National Convention this week in Denver could receive a First Data Go-Tag sticker that’s capable of functioning as reloadable prepaid cards. The stickers in this case are likely to be affixed to commemorative pins.
Some 5,000 of the inch by inch and a half stickers are to be distributed to the delegates, says Denver-based First Data. A spokesman said the stickers will enable people to turn almost anything into a payment device. It’s expected that many consumers will want to stick them on their phones, which, said the spokesman, could get people used to using phones as a payment tool.
