Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, N.J., and campus card solutions provider CardSmith, Doylestown, Penn., have agreed to a multi-year contract renewal of the company’s campus card-services, which includes managing the school’s multi-application Fairleigh 1Card at its Teaneck and Madison, N.J. campuses.
The card features a prepaid flexible spending account, 1Card Cash, that students, faculty and staff use for purchases at the campus bookstore, dining locations, copy centers, vending machines and business offices and at participating off-campus businesses surrounding both campuses. Fairleigh 1Card is also used to control spending for fuel and related purchases for university vehicles and for customized spending plans for scholar-athletes.
“The Fairleigh 1Card has flourished in the last few years due in large part to our relationship with CardSmith, and we are pleased to enter into this long-term agreement extension,” said Robert Valenti, Fairleigh’s assistant vice president for administration.
CardSmith President Jay P. Summerall said Fairleigh Dickinson University was one of CardSmith’s first clients.
