EyeVerify closes on $1.4 million seed round

Eye vein biometrics company EyeVerify announced its closing of a $1.4 million seed round. Think Big Ventures led the round for the company that has patented technology to identify users based on the blood vessels in the whites of their eyes.
Along with patenting its intellectual property, EyeVerify has added to its management staff by hiring Jeremy Paben as vice president of engineering and Dr. Reza Derakshsani as chief science officer. They join the staff of ten that’s focused on building out the platform for use in mobile and non-mobile situations. EyeVerify is based in Kansas City, Kansas.
