The latest edition to Entrust’s suite of authentication technology has been released as part of the new IdentityGuard 9.3. Entrust IdentityGuard Mobile is a mobile application that works to protect against man-in the-browser malware attacks. It has been recommended that financial companies secure their networks with a multi-layered security application when completing transactions.
IdentityGuard Mobile enables companies to use a smart phone to authenticate customers, partners, vendors or users.
The mobile security platform enables not only strong authentication but secure storage and review of all transaction details. To authenticate and gain access to accounts, users must have the one-time-passcode (OTP) generated by the mobile device.
Entrust methods of addressing man-in-the-browser attacks include behavioral and transactional fraud detection, SMS authentication with transaction details and mobile out-of-band transaction verification and signature, all of which can now be utilized on a smart phone.
Entrust IdentityGuard Mobile is compatible on the following mobile platforms Apple iPhone, RIM BlackBerry, Microsoft Windows Mobile and Symbian (Java).
