EMVco, the EMV standards body has announced its 2010 User Meeting to take place on June 29-30 in Singapore. The body made up of American Express, JCB, MasterCard and Visa, has invited all users of EMV Specifications to be in attendance.
Featured guests will include senior EMVCo representatives and EMV users allowing for an opportunity to introduce the newest technical advances and discuss future developments of the EMV standard.
This meeting comes after a year of new developments for the company. First, with the introduction of the EMVCo Associates Program which allows Business and Technical Associate to play a more active role and then with the launching of a website subscription program, which gives users the ability to access advance information regarding revisions to EMV Specifications, draft documents and upcoming meetings.
This User Meeting however will focus on technical EMV issues and developments and will educate delegates on strategies an organization can utilize in this up-and-coming market. Additionally there will be opportunities to share valuable ‘grass roots’ feedback, which has become a discussion on future developments. The four sessions outlined in the program are: building the infrastructure for EMV contactless; expanding the EMV community through the EMVCo Associates Program; exploring the contactless mobile ecosystem; and the depth of EMV security.
