Ekahau monitors patients, staff at Finnish cancer center
Docrates Clinic, a Finland-based cancer center in Helsinki, has deployed Ekahau’s real-time locating system to manage patient alerts and quickly locate staff in emergency situations.
A nurse can request assistance with a single push of a button, which relays real-time information of the sender’s location – down to the room level – allowing staff too quickly respond to the situation.
A patient can also call help by pushing a switch on their Ekahau wristband tag, which then alerts staff of the call for help with the exact location of the patient.
The solution leverages the facility’s existing Cisco wireless network, which enable patient and staff call capabilities anywhere in the clinic campus.
