DigitalPersona has announced that its implementation of its U.are.U fingerprint readers in conjunction with iQmetrix retail management software at master telecommunications agency Connectivity Source. The deployment has yielded a nearly 75% reduction in time and attendance fraud.
In addition to stopping fraudulent actions for hourly employees such as buddy-punching, the new solution has also given Connectivity Source information on average revenue per employee, improved staff planning and streamlines monthly payroll auditing.
The change in the process stemmed from more than 90% of its point-of-sale staff logging more hours than had been scheduling leading to both a financial and HR strain on the company. The chain has more than 30 stores in Louisiana and Texas.
Connectivity Source reported immediate and significant reductions in overtime expenses.
