The Devon Bank, a banking chain based in Chicago, has announced that they are implementing a number of authentication products from biometrics developer US Biometrics. In addition to improving their security through the new biometric systems, the installation is also expected to yield Devon a gold rating in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, a first for any bank in the state of Illinois.
The systems being implemented by US Biometrics aim to improve a number of areas for Devon including simplifying and easing regular employee tasks, better securing entryways in employee areas, securing computer networks and applications, improving security for customer data and addressing security concerns regarding risk assessment procedures.
Devon chose US Biometrics due to their variety of systems available as well as their ability to integrate the physical control with the logical control systems.
