New Version 4.1 available in French, German, Japanese and Spanish
Minnetonka, Minn. — August 7, 2003 — Datacard Group today announced that the latest version of its flagship identity software is now available in French, German, Japanese and Spanish, in addition to English. Additional language options for the Datacard® ID Works® v4.1 identification software will allow multi-national organizations to tailor their ID and badging programs to meet regional needs and take advantage of the new vertical ID Works solutions to be released later this year.
“ID Works is the world’s best-selling identification software and there is strong demand for multiple languages, especially from corporations and other organizations with facilities in multiple countries,” said Mike Schnaus, vice president of marketing and corporate development for Datacard. “Our international customers have implemented successful enterprise-wide identity programs with the English version, but these new language options will make their security programs even more effective.”
Datacard ID Works software is used for a variety of identity applications worldwide, including corporate and government ID, membership, customer loyalty programs and more. Datacard sells the software separately and bundles it with card printers, cameras, biometrics devices and other peripherals to create fully integrated ID systems.
“ID Works defined an entirely new category when we introduced it and we’ve continually made it more capable, more flexible and more effective through continuous research and development,” Schnaus said. “Offering four additional languages makes it even more powerful and more customer-driven. We believe improvements like this will help us reach more customers and vertical markets.”
