To improve efficiency in cattle tracking, DAILY RFID has released the RFID ear tag. Suitable for use in medium size livestock applications, the RFID ear tag offers automated tracking technology to allow ranchers the ability verify individual livestock quickly and efficiently.
The passive RFID ear tag has data retention of up to 10 years and can help ranchers to identify and record each cattle for its whole growth cycle. Operating at 125 KHz, 134 KHz or 13.56 MHz frequency, the tag can be customized to use several chips accordingly.
The chip is sealed inside the round polyurethane housing, which prevents the livestock from the bacteria infection during the ear tag injection. The housing can also be customized with different shapes and colors for different types of livestock tracking such as sheep, pigs and other for livestock management and scientific testing applications.
In addition, DAILY RFID unveiled a palm-sized wireless RFID reader series with Bluetooth function, for data transmission within 10 meters. The mobile reader offers three types of frequency (125 KHz, 134 KHz and 13.56 MHz) and is capable of interpreting RFID tag formats including ISO 11784, ISO 11785 and ISO 15693. It also provides an extended battery life to continuously read tags for up to 6000 times per charge.
