DAILY RFID has unveiled its new UHF gen 2 contactless RFID tag designed for use on metal surfaces.
The read/write tag, which operates in the 860MHz to 960MHz frequency, can be used to identify metal-surfaced objects in harsh environments such as warehouses or product lines. According to DAILY, the tag is durable enough to withstand temperatures up to 90 degrees centigrade, as well as a wide range of aggressive chemicals.
The EPC C1 Gen2-complaint tag, which can be affixed to metal surfaces by its adhesive or screws, features a read range up to 3.5 meters and comes with three storage options: 96 bit, 512 bit or 2 Kb.
