New Hampshire-based Service Credit Union has implemented Datacard Group’s Datacard CardWizard issuance software to bring instant-issue EMV smart cards to U.S. military members based in Germany.
This builds on its instant-issue EMV smart card roll out to military members that it began at the end of 2011 and will continue to do for all of its branch locations. The credit union has 23 branches in the U.S. and 17 branches on military bases in Germany.
Adding an EMV-compliant product was important for the credit union’s members stationed in Germany, as their magnetic stripe cards started getting rejected due to lack of stripe-reading technology.
The CardWizard software is PCI PA-DSS compliant and runs with their core systems and network processors.
