Confidex introduces new label for reusable plastic
Finnish RFID tag maker Confidex has introduced a new UHF RFID label designed for returnable plastic containers. The Confidex Carrier can adhere to plastic surfaces and is designed to withstand the heavy daily use experienced by plastic transit items like totes, crates and trays.
The Confidex Carrier is intended for tracking applications where identification in inventory and cleaning management are critical, such as meat crates or other similar assets used for delivering food. It features acrylic adhesive and EPC Class 1 Generation 2-compliant reliability, and has been tested to ensure its viability for several years in the potentially harsh environments and daily use such crates and carriers are required to endure.
“Prior to its introduction, Confidex Carrier was tested in industrial applications with real-life use and cleaning conditions to ensure the tag design meets the requirements of our customers,” said Jarkko Miettinen, vice president of marketing at Confidex. “The requirements for better visibility in asset management have been continuously expanding due to increased material and transportation costs and the need to remain competitive in today’s business environment.”
