Citi launched revamped Clear Card

Citi has relaunched its Clear Card in Indonesia to include a contactless payments feature.
The card is targeted toward young, tech-savvy customers and enabled them to make purchase of less than $17 by just tapping the card instead of having to swipe and sign. The card includes other benefits as well, including a social networking site that features content related to music, clubbing, dining, shopping and entertainment.
The card also includes a transparent design, a Web cam and a mobile text messaging service that enables cardholders to find out about the newest product offerings.
The card also has the Monday to Sunday Privileges and Clear Afterhours rewards package. Through this program cardholders will have the opportunity to offers from Citibank merchant partners such as Cinema XXI, The Body Shop, Hard Rock Café, Embassy The Club, Public, Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Cold Rocks Ice Creamery, Gelatissmo and others.
The Citi Clear Card was launched in Indonesia in 2003.The Visa PayWave Technology is currently available in 200 outlets across Indonesia. By early 2009, more than 1,000 outlets are expected to provide the contactless payment option.
