CBORD hires new VP to build off campus card offerings

In a move that underscores the growing push off-campus by campus card systems and providers, CBORD has hired a VP-level manager to focus on extending “student debit card programs to off-campus merchants.” Shawn McCarthy, will fill the newly established role as VP, Wide Area Commerce Solutions.

Ithaca, New York: The CBORD Group, Inc. announced today that Shawn McCarthy has joined its management team as Vice President, Wide Area Commerce Solutions. McCarthy will lead CBORD’s efforts in providing its campus card system customers a wide range of solutions to bring their student debit card programs to off-campus merchants.
Most recently, McCarthy held the position of Director of Business Development at Wright Express, a leading provider of payment processing and information management services to the U.S. commercial and government vehicle fleet industry.
