Castleton State College of Vermont has announced that it has plans to team up Xtreme Sports ID to leverage the company’s XtremeSportsID bracelet for student safety on campus.
The XtremeSportsID bracelet is a lightweight, weatherproof, durable wristband stamped with two medical alert symbols, campus logo, a unique 8-digit code, and a toll free 1-800 number that immediately connects first responders with the student’s vital information.
First responders can call the toll-free number, enter the unique 8-digit code, and head a read-out of the wearer’s submitted information, including emergency contact information and essential data such as medical alerts, medications, allergies, primary physician contact, insurance provider, and more.
Student’s vital information is registered on the XtremeSportsID Web site, where the data is stored on secured servers and accessible 24 hours a day. Students can also log in and enter their planned activity, including location, and duration, such as “Going to Library expect to be home by 6PM.” This unique feature ensures student safety as it automatically alerts the wearer’s designated contacts of their plans.
