Carl Painter joins SmartCentric to lead technical services in US

SmartCentric announced the addition of campus card industry veteran, Carl Painter, to the role of Director of Technical Services. Carl brings more than fifteen years of campus card and ID technology experience to his new role – stretching from early years with Florida State University’s FSUCard program to more recent work with imaging system developer Vision Database Systems. According to SmartCentric CEO, Kieran Timmins, the new appointment is timely as the company is preparing for the release of a fully contactless version of its SmartCity® card system. Carl Painter joins SmartCentric Technologies International LLC as Director Technical Services, North America
Dublin, Ireland and West Palm Beach, Florida, United States: Continuing the expansion of its operations in the Americas, SmartCentric Technologies today announced the appointment of Carl Painter in the newly created role of Director Technical Services for North America, effective December 1st 2006.
Carl Painter brings with him more than 12 years of technical expertise in card technologies. He holds a BS in Interdisciplinary Physics/Computer Science from Florida State University, and numerous certifications from Microsoft, Novell, and Checkpoint. His experience in understanding customer needs together with his solid technical background will ensure that he will serve the needs of SmartCentric and its customers very well. Most recently, Carl was with Vision Database Systems.
Carl will be responsible for technical development, support, and installations in North America. In this role he will oversee the implementation of SmartCentric solutions across the product offerings.
