CardSmith announced that it has implemented its card program management service at three continuing care retirement communities – two in North Carolina and one in Virginia, all of which are managed by United Church and Home Services.
Under the program, residents of the facilities are issued personalized cards with pre-paid spending accounts that can be used at designated point of sale kiosks across the facilities.
United Church and Home Services have a custom Web-based transaction solution without local systems or software of any kind, and residents have 24/7 access to accounts through a dedicated cardholder account center.
United Church and Home Services say that everything is off to a good start and that they plan to expand the system to more of their locations over time. They also hope to extend the services to include vending machines and other activities the residents attend.
