WeCar, the car sharing company from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, will be offering its services to Saint Mary’s College, Moraga, Calif., starting next fall. The college will have two cars parked on campus and if the program is successful, more could be added.
Like most car sharing services, students must first register, receive a smart card which enables them to access the car, then schedule when they would like to use the automobile. The key and fuel card will be in the glove compartment. Cars can be rented by the hour or day. There is also a $25 yearly cost and a $20 enrollment fee, which is waived if students sign up by June 1 and agree not to bring cars to campus next school year.
