Espanola General Hospital in Ontario, Canada has selected SALTO to upgrade its security and replace its master keyed mechanical locks with the XS4 electronic proximity access control system.
The XS4 locks are replacing existing locks in offices, health records, the finance department, stores, maintenance areas, laboratories, physiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, clinic operations, acute care, the teleconference room, as well as in all hallways that are designated for staff only access.
The XS4 locks requires no hard wiring and provides a networked locking solution enabling the hospital to turn their existing doors into access control doors. In addition, the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) provides hospital staff with the ability to update, restrict or delete locks and key cards remotely as required and access profiles can be changed rapidly to accommodate any security situation.
Located in Northern Ontario, Espanola General Hospital is a health care facility which provides a array of health care and medical programs and services to the local population catchment area of around 12,000 residents.
