Vision Database Systems announced the release of a major update which integrates its ID software under the new Windows 7 platform and Canon Digital SLR series cameras.
Vision Database Systems’ RapidID software solution is commonly used in schools nationwide including K-12 where users may scan information from students’ IDs to record information and print passes, detentions, violations and schedules on the spot. Even at higher education institutions, Rapid ID software can be used provide paperless ticketing to school events, check materials out from libraries, and grant access to facilities.
Vision Database recommends the Canon’s EOS Rebel XS boasting a 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC III processor. This combined with Vision Database’s software reduce the amount of errors due to poor quality ID and decrease the number ID queues.
Software can purchased on a workstation license basis or in bulk or it can be purchased as a set with a Canon Digital SLR which includes a basic lens, power supply, and tripod.
