Call for nominations: 2015 Women in Biometric Identity

AVISIAN Publishing works to share insight into the fast-paced world of identity and security with readers around the globe. The use of biometric identity technology is key to securing physical and digital identities in the future.
With this in mind its time to recognize innovative women who are working toward a more secure world by guiding this crucial biometric market. To celebrate the tremendous influence and achievements, AVISIAN is sponsoring an awards program to honor women leading the charge in biometric identity.
Nominees will be accepted through Aug. 14, 2015, and may include those working for biometric companies, peripheral suppliers, system integrators, academia and end user organizations.
The contributions meriting nomination are diverse, but could include:
- Substantive and defining leadership in academic, public awareness, legislative or standards efforts
- Corporate leadership that extends beyond the company walls and into the larger identity sphere
- Pioneering product development, innovation or corporate start-up efforts
- Industry involvement sharing expertise and mentoring peers, thus growing the market
A judging panel will evaluate nominations, and interviews or further information may be requested of the nominee or the nominator if required.
Awardees will be announced on Sept. 10 during an evening reception at the Borderpol International Security Meeting, Dupont Circle Hotel, Washington D.C. Profiles of the awardees will be presented in the winter issue of Re: ID magazine.
