Biometric Services International announced the availability of its latest update of published and emerging biometric standards. Eleven new and or updated standards were published since the last update issued in March, bringing the total number of published standards to 91.
The report details these, along with more than 80 additional emerging standards under consideration. Among the newly published standards covered in this report are a messaging format for interacting with US-VISIT systems, a methodology for remotely exchanging information about biometric devices and processes to enable security evaluation by remote authenticators, a framework for evaluating the security of biometrics when used in physical and/or logical access applications and a generalized conformance testing methodology.
Both published and emerging standards reports can be downloaded here and here.
