TungstenW, developers of biometric devices owned by technology developer Aegis Innovations, unveiled their new TungstenW Biometric wallet at the The State of Gadget Media event in New York City.
The wallet is made with carbon fibers and requires an authorized fingerprint to gain access to any cash, credit cards or other valuables kept inside.
In addition to its utilization of biometric technology to increase security of the wallet itself, the wallet also includes Bluetooth technology that pairs with a user’s cell phone. With this technology, if the phone and wallet are more than 10 feet apart from each other, the wallet triggers a loud alarm. Further, to protect any contents of the wallet containing RFID chips from being scanned by a fraudster from outside the wallet, it also contains RFID blocking technology.
