Biometric hotel room keys on the horizon

CADD Emirates, a Dubai-based ICT system integrator serving many industries including the hospitality sector, has announced that it will begin replacing its hotel guest room key card systems with biometric fingerprint scanners.
As reported by Hotelier Middle East, CADD will have the new system ready for roll-out later this summer. The new technology will be able to tie guest preferences for various hotel sites within a chain to their fingerprints, allowing hotels to better serve their guests.
CADD anticipates that this technology will generally be geared to hotels’ exclusive club members and gives hotels a way to differentiate themselves.
