Bio Recognition Systems (BRS), an Australia-based developer of biometric technology, has signed a distribution deal with General Lock, an American security technology company, for distribution in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The three-year agreement will see the BRS products relabeled under General Lock’s private label Helix 100. Additionally, BRS’ biometric door lock will be the only product of its kind represented by General Lock.
The third party of the deal is Clark Security Products who will serve as the distributor of the products.
Helping bring about the deal was BRS’s BioLock+ being recognized at the Security Summit as the “Most Innovative Product” in the sensor category in which one of the judges was the president of General Lock. General Lock is confident that consumer demand for the BioLock+ will be high despite the economic turmoil.
