Bio-key International, a provider of biometric solutions, has announced it has successfully deployed more than 400 FBI compliant, mobile, two-factor authentication devices to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.
The system is designed for use with law enforcement mobile data system users so that they can access the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) databases with collected biometric information. Additionally, the devices allow officers to logon to the CJIS system biometrically saving them time and removing the need to remember usernames and passwords.
The new program for Oklahoma County’s law enforcement was made possible due to a Justice Assistance Grant through the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Office.
